Forget Netflix, Mother Nature Has a Show Tonight!

Bobby’s 3 Things for August 27, 2026

Look up tonight -- we’re getting a near-total lunar eclipse. About 96% of the moon will slip into Earth’s shadow, and South Florida is in a great spot to see the whole thing, weather permitting. It lasts for hours and peaks just after midnight. It’s not technically a blood moon, but the moon could take on that reddish-orange color.

The 75th Miss USA pageant is tonight at 8 at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Fifty-one women competing, with Kenya Moore and Ian Ziering hosting. The interesting wrinkle: it was supposed to be back on The CW, but the network dropped the broadcast just days ago after a contract dispute, so now it’ll stream instead.

The Marlins beat the Red Sox 4-0 last night at home, salvaging the finale of the series.

Coyote vs Acme opens tomorrow. This is the Looney Tunes movie Warner Bros famously finished and then tried to shelve for a tax write-off before another distributor rescued it. The plot is terrific: Wile E. Coyote sues Acme because all its products keep blowing him up. Will Forte is his lawyer; John Cena represents Acme.
