Greek Heat: Giannis to Miami!

Bobby’s 3 Things for June 23, 2026

The Miami Heat just landed a true generational superstar. Giannis Antetokounmpo - the “Greek Freak” - is a two-time NBA MVP, an NBA champion, and one of the most dominant players on the planet. He grew up in Greece, came into the league as a raw teenager, and turned himself into a 7-foot force of nature. This is the kind of blockbuster trade that instantly changes the Heat’s future.

Lionel Messi did it again: he scored twice in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Austria, putting him at 18 career World Cup goals -- now the all-time leader. No bad for a guy turning 39 tomorrow.

Miami got invaded by kilts last night. Thousands of Scotland World Cup fans -- the “Tartan Army” -- showed up with bagpipes, drums, songs and apparently a crash course in baseball. The Marlins lost to Texas 4-3, but honestly, when your Monday night includes baseball and bagpipes, it’s hard to call it a total loss.
