RECALL: Gatorade

PepsiCo has voluntarily recalled over 122,000 cases of Gatorade due to undeclared food dyes. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified this as a Class II recall on October 2, 2026, meaning the beverages contain unlisted ingredients—specifically Yellow No. 5 and/or Yellow No. 6—which can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive individuals but do not pose an immediate serious safety risk to the general public.

The recall strictly applies to 28-ounce bottles of the following four varieties:

Affected Lot Numbers & Expiration Dates

The recalled 28-ounce bottles feature expiration dates spanning April through June 2027. Affected lot numbers include specific codes such as Lot 072226 DT (exp. APR 18 27), Lot 081026 TL (exp. MAY 07 27), and Lot 091126 DL (exp. JUN 08 27), among others. For the complete list of all 15 affected lot numbers, please refer to the referenced source documents.

While health risks are minimal for the general public, individuals sensitive to Yellow No. 5 or Yellow No. 6 may experience reactions such as rashes, hives, itching, or allergic asthma.
