The government is cutting funds for PBS so to help raise money, dozens of paintings by the legendary art instructor Bob Rosswill be auctioned off. The artist who became famous in the 1980s for his calm teaching approach passed away in 1995, but his show “The Joy of Painting” continues to be popular on multiple streaming services. Yesterday, the president of Bob Ross Incorporated said30 of his paintings will be auctioned off next month to offset the cost of programming for public stations that have had their federal funding cut. The paintings are expected to fetch up to 50-thousand dollars and will be sold at a series of auctions beginning on November 11.
