The Miami Hurricanes just punched their ticket to the national championship -- and they did it in pure Canes style. Miami outlasted the Ole Miss Rebels 31-27 in the Fiesta Bowl. Ole Miss grabbed the lead late, but Miami said not today. With 18 seconds left, Carson Beck scored the go-ahead touchdown, the Canes stuffed the Hail Mary, and slammed the door. Now it’s on to the title game -- at Hard Rock Stadium January 19th.

Florida Panthers lost on the road in Montreal, 6-2.

And only in the NBA: the game between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls got postponed because the floor was...too wet. Not a power outage, not a fight -- condensation. After nearly two hours of mopping, toweling, and probably someone asking if a Zamboni would help, officials finally said nope. No game tonight -- just very shiny hardwood. The makeup date’s coming... hopefully with a dehumidifier sponsorship.
