Former athletes traded in stadium lights for stage lights in Miami. Florida Grand Opera teamed up with former pro players like Yankees legend Bernie Williams and former Hurricanes/Dolphins player Bryant McKinnie for an Opera & All-Stars concert at the Arsht Center. It ain’t over until the 320-pound tenor sings.

Florida has a new freshwater fishing record: a nearly 74-pound blue catfish caught in the Suwannee River. This thing was almost four feet long -- that’s a fourth-grader with gills!

SPORTS! Miami Marlins got blanked by the Twins last night, 3-0 in Minnesota... Inter Miami plays tonight at FC Cincinnati, and Lionel Messi is also back in the news because he remains the highest-paid player in MLS at about $28.3 million. That’s more than twice the next guy. That’s not a salary - that’s a municipality with cleats! (And worth every penny)
