Imagine opening your water bill and thinking you accidentally filled the Venetian Pool. A Broward man says a faulty meter pushed his bill over 500 dollars a month (about $1600 in three months!) and the family had to dip into savings. At that price, the water better be sparkling and come with lime.

Graham Pauley got called up from the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (our Triple A affilliate) to join the Marlins in Kansas City. And wow, what a night he had: four RBIs, a two-run homer and a two-run triple. Fish beat the Royals 6-3.

George Clooney gets one of Hollywood’s big lifetime-achievement honors today at the Venice Film Festival. He and Amal arrived yesterday (naturally, by water taxi) and Clooney joked that getting an award like this is basically Hollywood’s way of reminding you you’re getting older. George is 65.

Speaking of age: Keanu Reeves is 62 today and Salma Hayek is 60.
