Gen Z is napping during the workday?

I feel like things started going off the rails once seemingly EVERYONE was working from home during 2020...

napping in movie theater

If Gen Z had a company handbook, it might just be titled “Cry, Nap, Repeat.”

Apparently, lunch breaks are no longer about salads or sad desk sandwiches, they’re about emotional resets and power naps. Honestly? I respect it, to a degree... as long as you’re getting your work done!

The 9-to-5 grind isn’t exactly giving “main character energy,” so people are getting creative with their coping strategies… including turning movie theaters into mid-day sleep sanctuaries.

One guy on TikTok went viral for dropping $15 on a movie ticket just to knock out in one of those fully reclined seats, and honestly, that might be the most genius thing we’ve heard all week.

Earbuds in, beanie over the eyes, surround sound softly humming in the background? That’s not a nap… that’s a luxury experience.

At this point, surviving your workday might not be about powering through, it’s about strategically checking out for a bit. And hey, if your boss asks… you were “in a meeting.” 🎬💤
