A Las Olas landmark is closing. Big City Tavern -- right near the downtown entrance to the restaurant district, across from the Cheesecake Factory -- will close September 30th after 25 years. The company hasn’t announced what’s next, but it operates several South Florida restaurants, and that’s a great location. So hopefully a fresh concept is coming; and the familiar faces there will be part of its next chapter.

The Voice began its 30th season last night with new coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green joining Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. There’s also a new ‘First In’ button that lets the quickest coach claim a singer immediately.
