The new Michael Jackson movie “Michael” was #1 at the box office over the weekend, grossing more than $97,000,000. One of the scenes shows Michael in his home studio laboring over what would become Beat It. I’ve found his personal demo tape at that time. It’s pretty amazing. It’s a cappella and Michael sings all the instrumental parts along with the vocals.

So is the movie any good? It depends on who you ask. It has a stellar 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, but critics mostly thought is was bad, so bad, shamone.

Speaking of movies, The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens Friday because apparently Miranda Priestly still isn’t done judging us. (Prepare to feel underdressed in a movie theater haha)
