NASA is getting ready for Artemis II, the first crewed mission around the Moon in more than 50 years since Apollo 17. Four astronauts will fly around the Moon - no landing yet - but it’s a huge step toward getting humans back on the lunar surface. If all goes as planned, this mission sets up Artemis III...which could put boots back on the Moon for the first time since 1972.
Speaking of the Moon, tonight is the first full moon of Spring - it’s called the Pink Moon, which is a little misleading - it’s not actually pink (that’s like ordering a strawberry milkshake and getting plain vanilla in my book haha). This is also the Paschal Moon, which sets the dates for Passover - so it’s not just pretty - it actually drives major holiday timing. Peak brightness is around 10:12pm tonight; so I’ll see you at the beach for a good view!
SPORTS! Florida Panthers whooped up on Ottawa last night. They scored 5 goals in the first period. (They’re not dead yet!) And the Miami Marlins bounced back with a win over the Chicago White Sox, 9-2.
