In Southwest Florida, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office had to publicly debunk a viral claim that a man was kidnapped by dolphins and forced to build an underwater city. Yes...that was a real rumor making the rounds online. The sheriff’s office responded with a tongue-in-cheek statement saying they checked with their (very fake) “Underwater Construction Investigation Team,” and confirmed -- no dolphins running a real estate project offshore. OK, but what about manatees running a timeshare seminar? Huh, how ‘bout that???

A man who allegedly posed as a wealthy Rothschild family heir -- using fake identities, luxury apartments, and big-money claims -- was arrested in Miami Beach. Athorities say he built relationships in elite circles before everything unraveled. Netflix special, anyone? Only in Miami can you fake being a billionaire...and almost pull it off.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel was once Miami’s hottest spot -- where celebrities hobnobbed and foodies flocked -- but now it’s coming down 26 years after it was built. The implosion of the hotel in Brickell Key is scheduled for Sunday morning at 8:30.

Miami Marlins bounced back last night, beating the Reds 7-4. They wrap up their 4-game series this afternoon at 12:10.
