More than 550,000 Toyota vehicles have been recalled due to a seat back defect that could increase the risk of injury.

The second row seat backs may fail to lock into position during seat back adjustment.

The agency noted that the issue could lead to an occupant not being properly restrainedin a high speed collision scenario.

Affected vehicles are:

• 2021-2024 Toyota Highlander
• 2021-2024 Highlander Hybrid

The recall numbers are 26TB06 and 26TA06.
