Utz Quality Foods has voluntarily recalled9 limited varieties of Zapp’s and Dirty brand potato chips due to potential Salmonella contamination from a third-party milk powder ingredient. Affected bags have best-by dates in July or August 2026. No illnesses have been reported to date; consumers should discard the chips and contact Utz for a refund.

Affected Products (Check for these specific Best-By Dates):

  • Zapp’s Brand: Bayou Blackened Ranch (1.5oz, 2.5oz, 8oz), Big Cheezy (2.5oz, 8oz), and Salt & Vinegar (1.5oz).
  • Dirty Brand: Salt and Vinegar (2oz), Maui Onion (2oz), and Sour Cream and Onion (2oz).
