Age ain’t nuthin but a number!

Tennis legend Serena Williams is officially coming out of retirement at age 44.

Williams announced she will return to professional tennis next week, playing doubles at the Queen’s Club Championships in London. It will be her first competitive event since the 2022 U.S. Open, nearly four years ago.

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion confirmed the news with a social media video teasing her return. She received a wildcard entry into the tournament and is expected to partner with 19-year-old Canadian player Victoria Mboko.

For now, Williams is only scheduled to play doubles, but her comeback is already fueling speculation that she could also return to singles competition later this summer, possibly at Wimbledon, where she has won seven titles.
