If somebody calls saying they’re with the Broward Sheriff’s Office - and you’re getting arrested for missing jury duty - take a breath. It’s a scam. They claim you can avoid jail by paying up. BSO says deputies won’t call demanding money to keep you out of jail. Hang up, and contact the agency directly using its official number.
