A new Miami social app wants to help you meet somebody actually in the room. It’s called Stoke, and it’s being developed to connect people at the same bar, coffee shop or gym - for dating or friendship. Finally, your opening line can be: “Apparently, we’re both here.”

Airbnb is putting the brakes on those vacation checkout chore lists. For bookings made November 20th onward, hosts generally can’t ask you to strip beds, wash and put away dishes, or haul trash off-site. Basically, leave the cleaner’s work to the cleaner. No more “I booked a place with a pool. I didn’t realize it came with a shift!”
