Treasure hunters in the Keys just had a very pirate-movie kind of day. A crew with Mel Fisher’s Shipwreck Expeditions found a 22-pound silver bar from the legendary Atocha shipwreck -- sunk by a hurricane back in 1622 between Key West and the Dry Tortugas. Estimated value is $100,000! It was so encrusted they had to clean off 400 years of ocean crud...which is still less crust thaan the bottom of my beach cooler.
